Caitlin began dancing at the age of 3 with the Dallas Ballet Academy ( currently Texas Ballet Theatre) under the direction of Fleming Flindt. She continued training in all styles of dance at many different dance schools, and summer programs, including Stacia's School of Dance. Caitlin was the Scholarship Student for 1993.
At the age of 10 she began training in theatre, and music, and performed with The Dallas Theatre Center, Dallas Childrens Theatre, Visions Studio, Dallas TV and Film, Casa Manana, Garland Civic Theatre, Garland Summer Musicals, Plano Repertory Theatre, and many more. Some of her favorite roles were West Side Story (Velma), Babes in Arms, (Susie),The Sound of Music, (Louisa), 42nd Street (Phyllis) Eating Raoul, The Music Man, and Smokey Joes Cafe (Delee). She received a scholarship to the Broadway Theatre Project in '97 and '98 where she studied with Ann Reinking, Dave Clemmons, Joel Gray, Bebe Neuwirth, Jasmine Guy, Jeff Calhoun, Ryan Kasperzak,(So you Think you Can Dance) and the late Gregory Hines to name a few. She graduated from the Dallas Arts Magnet High School in the dance and theatre departments. Caitlin was a member of Pieces Dance Company for two seasons under the Direction of Davis Hobdy. She received a Musical Theatre Scholarship from the University of Oklahoma, and continued to perform in regional theatres , Six Flaggs Theme Park, and as a Ray Kennedy Entertainer for American Hawaii Cruises. While aboard the S.S. Independance, she was a member of the Hula dance group Halou Hula Moku O Ke Kai.
Caitlin has also been involved with the Miss America Organization for the past 16 years as a Contestant, Judge, Emcee, Coach, and Choreographer. She held the titles of Miss Teen Irving, Miss Teen Weatherford, Miss Teen Ellis County, Miss Teen Farmers Branch and Miss Teen Texas 1998, winning Preliminary and Overall Talent, Interview, and Swimsuit.
While starting a family, she taught ballet, pointe, and theatre dance, for three years at Stacias School of Dance, as well as choreographing for Miss Texas and Miss Teen Texas contestants and many other competitions and pageants.
She recently returned from spending the past six years in NY/NJ where she continued her training at Broadway Dance Center with Internationally acclaimed Ballet Master Finis Jhung. She worked for Salsa International Dance Studio in Manhattan and taught classes in Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Queens NY. Although she misses New York terribly, she's glad to be back in Texas for now.
